Challenge

A first of its kind in Nigeria, we were asked by our client to design a luxury resort in the centre of a private game park on the outskirts of the city of Abuja. This is to be a permanent set-up and the tents have to be sturdy enough to withstand high sub-Saharan winds and rain.The overall look and feel requires to be aspirational, luxurious and cater to the well-travelled expatriate and HNI local.

Interpretation

The target audience is well travelled and extremely sensitive to the overall experience. For us to deliver the complete package we researched local flora and fauna, understood the meaning of local motifs, significance of colours and that we must design to cater to families.

Solution & Success

We partnered with our international associates, to design ideal tents that fulfilled our structural requirements and then designed the experience to fit. Where possible we used local materials, and interpreted the living environment to reflect in the design of motifs and overall imagery with exquisite furniture that suits the safari style.
