Conceived by EuMo as both an architectural statement and a strategic engagement environment, the project translates Meril's philosophy of continuous innovation into a built form. Combining architecture, landscape design, environmental storytelling and visitor experience strategy, the Infinity Centre positions Meril as a globally relevant MedTech innovation ecosystem while creating a memorable gateway to its manufacturing and research campus.

The project demonstrates EuMo's expertise in experience architecture, healthcare environments, innovation centres and destination placemaking for organisations seeking to communicate ambition, scale and leadership through the built environment.

Meril envisioned a landmark building that would embody its commitment to technological advancement and innovation. Positioned as the first point of arrival within its expansive campus, the building was designed to seamlessly integrate with its surroundings while establishing a distinct and memorable identity.

As a destination for international surgeons, physicians, healthcare leaders, and industry stakeholders, the space needed to do more than welcome visitors, it had to communicate Meril's position as a global medtech innovation ecosystem.

EuMo was engaged to translate this vision into a cohesive and immersive visitor experience, creating an environment that showcases Meril's legacy, capabilities, and future aspirations through design, storytelling, and technology.

The central idea emerged from a simple observation— Nature is in a perpetual state of renewal, adaptation and transformation.

The central idea emerged from a simple observation— Nature is in a perpetual state of renewal, adaptation and transformation.

The concept of Infinite Nature of Life informed the architecture, landscape and visitor experience.

The circle, a geometry without a defined beginning or end, informed the primary architectural form. EuMo envisioned the Experience Centre as a transparent, floating object resting gently on the surface of a water body within the Meril campus. To reinforce this concept, the existing water body was reconfigured into a reflective landscape element, transforming it into a mirror that amplifies the presence of the architecture and dissolves the boundary between the built and natural environments.

The building is organised across two distinct levels, each contributing to a carefully choreographed visitor journey. The upper level serves as a welcoming visitor lounge and product experience bar, while the lower level, submerged below the water line, houses the immersive experience centre. This vertical transition is expressed through a sculptural spiral staircase positioned at the heart of the building. Accompanying it is an iridescent metal ribbon installation that spans over eight metres, creating a dynamic visual connection between the two levels while embodying the project's theme of continuity and movement spanning 8 metres vertically.

Enveloping the structure is a 6.5-metre-high curved tri-laminated glass façade, engineered as a seamless transparent skin. The façade enhances the sensation of lightness and immersion, allowing the surrounding landscape and water to become integral components of the architectural experience.

The building is further connected to the broader campus by a subway where Visitors exiting the building appear to walk across the surface of water creating a powerful visual moment of emergence.

The landscape strategy was developed to complement the architecture while preserving the existing trees on site.  Carefully curated pockets of respite frame views towards the Experience Centre, ensuring that the building remains the visual focal point. A standalone Toilet block, inspired by the infinity symbol, is discreetly integrated into the landscape and screened by a bamboo grove. A public plaza anchors the arrival sequence and features a stainless-steel Möbius strip sculpture, another expression of continuity and infinity, creating a memorable landmark and a symbolic backdrop for visitors to commemorate their journey through the Meril campus.

The project reinforces EuMo's expertise in—

healthcare architecture,

visitor experience architecture,

innovation centres,

corporate experience destinations,

healthcare placemaking,

experiential architecture,

destination environments,

integrated architecture and storytelling.

These are increasingly important capabilities for healthcare, life sciences, technology and innovation organisations seeking to communicate leadership through architecture rather than communications alone.
