The vision for TUTC Chamba Camp Diskit was to create a world-class luxury glamping destination in Ladakh that could operate as a fully mobile hospitality ecosystem. Located in the Nubra Valley beyond the Khardung La pass, the camp needed to deliver uncompromising luxury while maintaining minimal ecological impact within one of the world’s most dramatic high-altitude landscapes.
EuMo enabled TUTC to transform a remote Himalayan terrain into an immersive luxury hospitality experience that balances mobility, sustainability, cultural sensitivity and premium guest engagement. The project established a new benchmark for experiential tourism, eco-conscious hospitality architecture and luxury camp design in extreme environments.

The brief required the development of a transportable, low-impact glamping environment that could—
Deliver elevated guest comfort in a remote terrain,
Minimise permanent infrastructure and environmental disruption,
Reflect the cultural and spiritual context of Nubra Valley,
Create a seamless blend of luxury, mobility and authenticity,
Establish a scalable model for high-end experiential tourism.
The larger strategic objective was to create a destination experience capable of attracting discerning global travellers seeking immersive luxury, sustainable tourism and culturally rooted hospitality experiences.

Strategic Interpretation
EuMo reframed the project from a luxury campsite into a mobile experiential hospitality system.
The design strategy focused on transforming mobility into an advantage rather than a limitation. Every spatial, architectural and experiential decision was developed to support premium hospitality standards while ensuring portability, durability and low ecological impact.
This positioned the camp not merely as accommodation, but as a curated luxury travel experience deeply connected to landscape, culture and place.

Landscape and Context Integration
The selected site bordered a small lake within a saline landscape unsuitable for cultivation. Rather than resisting the terrain, the design approach embraced the stark beauty of the Nubra Valley.
The camp orientation was strategically aligned toward the iconic Maitreya Buddha and the distant Diskit Monastery, allowing the surrounding Himalayan landscape to become an integral part of the guest experience.
Minimal intervention planning ensured the site retained its natural character while enhancing visual and emotional connection to the environment.

Spatial and Experiential Design
The guest experience was designed as a seamless interaction between luxury, landscape and mobility.
Key experiential planning elements included:
Rammed earth plinths minimising permanent construction,
Elevated tent positioning for panoramic valley views,
Spatial zoning that preserved privacy and openness simultaneously,
Common areas designed as immersive viewing and social spaces,
Intuitive circulation responding naturally to terrain and vistas.
Architecture and interiors worked together to create warmth and refinement within an otherwise harsh mountain environment. The landscape itself became a narrative and experiential medium.

Luxury Interior and Furniture Design
EuMo developed a bespoke furniture and interior system specifically engineered for mobile luxury hospitality operations.
The furniture strategy balanced:
Premium craftsmanship and tactile luxury,
Modular portability and knock-down functionality,
Ease of transport, packing and seasonal storage,
Structural durability for high-altitude conditions,
Timeless aesthetics aligned with luxury glamping expectations
Materials, finishes and detailing were selected to evoke understated luxury while ensuring operational resilience and longevity.
This integrated approach enabled TUTC to deliver a hospitality experience comparable to permanent luxury resorts while retaining complete mobility.
